i'm a music maker. usually it's hand made with voice and guitar, sticks on drums, banjo, ukulele, bass and violin. the sound of wood and voice and steel, amplifiers, speakers, humans and the orchestra are my favorite sounds.  

a singer/songwriter, lover of music, composer, teacher and student my songs and compositions are expressions of my enjoyment of life. The hand made, human sized sound of the mostly acoustic music made by my band of musicians is at it’s heart informed by a love of art and expression. 


started Musicians Volunteer Army donating time to hospice and hospital care facilities. toured with Adam Levy (of Norah Jones, Amos Lee and Tracy Chapmam). Opened for Dave Mason and singer/songwriters the Chris Letcher (Hugh Masekela), Carsie Blanton (Joan Osborne, theWood Brothers). played Spillapalooza in Tucson, AZ raising monies for the Center for Biological Diversity and their suit against BP and the oil spill. 

Songs of Love, writing songs for chronically and terminally ill children. At Resolve to Stop The Violence Project in San Francisco he led song writing seminars for prisoners as part of their empathy training. Mother Jones piece on the program:
